Steamboat Brew Trail
While Steamboat Springs may be known for its abundant outdoor adventure and access to trails, we’ve got a different kind of trail to add to your Steamboat bucket list: The Steamboat Brew Trail. Here’s a roundup of our local breweries and favorites for you to enjoy on your next trip here.
About the Brew Trail
The Steamboat Brew Trail will take you from downtown Steamboat to the West end of town. The Brew Trail is made up of three local breweries serving some of the finest beers around Colorado and one distillery offering up small-batch whiskey, vodka, gin, and moonshine.
GETTING AROUND
Getting around the Steamboat Brew Trail has never been easier. Traveling 2.7 miles, the trail follows the Yampa River and winds its way through town. Pick your adventure and walk or bike the Brew Trail on the Core Trail. Don’t have a bike? Check out these local gear shops in town that will rent you a cruiser or an e-bike so you never have to worry about getting around safely or finding a coveted parking spot.
1. Mountain Tap Brewery
The next stop on the list is just a few blocks down the road. Mountain Tap has one of the best patios in the summer where you can look at Emerald Mountain and hear the river flowing. They host a weekly trivia night on Wednesdays and serve up wood-fire pizza and other locally sourced food to go with their beers.
Locals Favorite Brew: Mountain Macaroon
2. Storm Peak Brewery
Time to hop on the bike and start pedaling to the West side of town to reach Storm Peak Brewery. This brewery is all about diversity and variety boasting nearly 20 beers on tap daily. Their warehouse-style brewery with large garage doors that open in the summer and community tables are perfect for socializing. If you get hungry, check out Moe’s BBQ and How Ya Doin Pizza located next door. Furry friends are welcome too!
Local's Favorite Brew: Hoochie Mama
3. Yampa Valley Brewing
Yampa Valley Brewing is a Craft brewery centrally located in the Yampa Valley. With 3 locations (Steamboat, Hayden, Craig) YVBC supplies delicious beer throughout the Yampa Valley, the newest being on Lincoln Ave in Steamboat Springs. With a cozy interior and a gorgeous patio, the new Yampa Valley Brewing is a must-see!
Routt County Brews
There are more local beers to discover outside city limits! Venture over to Hayden, CO and check out Yampa Valley Brewing Company. Only two miles from the Yampa Valley Airport, locals and tourists alike can meet for a tasty pint in a family-friendly establishment. Kickback at the tap house in their laid-back atmosphere and enjoy the refreshing and unique beer selection served up at Yampa Valley Brewing Company.
